Touch Tanks for Kids is ecstatic to announce our alliance with the Perry Elementary School in the community of Perry, Maine. This coastal school is the first to get a Touch Tank through our Achievement Program. Grassroots support is a powerful tool used to inspire citizen action. Through a group effort, we will make a positive impact on education.

Touch Tank Delivered to Perry Elementary School
Biddeford, Maine 6/25/2007 – Perry Elementary School in Perry, Maine is the first school to participate in the Touch Tank Achievement Program. On June 12, 2007, Dr. Touch Tanks, Mike Martin, and Charlton Shackleton delivered a new Touch Tank to Perry. To help the students raise funds for their own Touch Tank, the tank will be on public display at the Gulf of Maine Inc. Marine Life Supply Co. throughout the summer.

It All Began With a Letter

A fourth grade student contacted us about our tanks. With a little time and a lot of support, the students at Perry Elementary got their very own Touch Tank.

Local Kids’ Efforts Got Press Attention

The drive by students to acquire a Touch Tank for their school garnered attention from the Calais Advertiser. In its May 30, 2007 issue, the Advertiser chronicled how one student’s determination made a difference for the whole school.
